Waxed cotton jackets are iconic for their heritage as countryside and hunting clothing staples. Our 3 in 1 waxed cotton jacket is made from a 8oz cotton fabric that is treated with beeswax that goes in between the fibers. This treatment makes the cotton water and wind-resistant and as a bonus it makes for a great patina, meaning that it develops aesthetically pleasing creases and color permutations as it ages. The quilted gilet on the inside and the waxed jacket can be worn with each other or on their own which makes this a 3 in 1 garment.

The outer wax jacket shell is finished with Gerber and Co branded press studs on the pockets and the middle front with a zip underneath. It has chest pockets and the two front pockets are also hand pockets from the sides. 

The inner gilet is made from an olive cotton quilted material and also lined with cotton. The collar is lined with corduroy material and finished of with a leather piping. It has two side pockets. The gilet closes with a zip.

Clean wax cotton outer: Spot clean the wax cotton material with a damp cloth with mild soap. Wipe off the excess soap with a damp cloth and dry the wet area completely with a hair dryer or wait to dry by itself. Put a small amount of beeswax or pure lanolin on the area and heat the area again with a hair dryer that the bees wax melts into the fibers again. Do not wash the wax cotton jacket in hot water, this will remove the wax feel.

Clean olive quilted inner: Machine wash with mild detergent with tepid water. Wash like colors together.
